Walk the Embarcadero, take the ferry from the Ferry Building past Alcatraz to Sausalito, and watch the Golden Gate from golden hour to night.

Tip

You start on the Embarcadero in front of the Ferry Building. The ferry is moored just offshore at Gate C: walk up and press E to take the helm.

At the helm, W/S work the waterjets and A/D steer. Press G to let the autopilot sail the published route to Sausalito (about 18 minutes).

The terrain, seabed and 10,000 buildings are real: USGS and NOAA elevation, San Francisco's LiDAR building heights, OpenStreetMap for Sausalito.

Press T to let the day run, from golden hour to the lit-up night skyline. F frees the camera.
